As you know, GOP presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Duncan Hunter were confirmed this week as speakers at the 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference (CLC), joining Libertarian Party presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root. And discussions/arrangements are ongoing with other presidential campaigns as you're reading this.
Also, Avalon Podcasting has joined the conference as our official podcast provider and will operate a podcasting booth at CLC for any blogger looking to record a podcast. Podcasts of the conference will be available online for folks who are crazy enough (or unfortunate enough) not to join us in person. For additional information on CLC’s planned podcasting operation, just click HERE
Also, we’ve been a bit negligent in telling you about our fantastic host hotel for the Conservative Leadership Conference.
John Ascuaga’s Nugget Resort & Casino is no Motel 6. We toured the rooms last week and you will NOT get claustrophobic in these babies.
Plus, the Nugget has...count ‘em...EIGHT restaurants on the premises, nightly entertainment (in addition to gaming), I lost count of how many bars (which do NOT close at 11 pm - or at ALL, for that matter!), an indoor pool and spa, a health club, and even a Starbucks right in the lobby.
Also, let me give you just a little comparative information on room rates for an event like this:
If you attend the Western CPAC in Newport Beach, California, the same weekend as CLC, the discounted room rate at the Fairmont is $149 per night.
If you attend the National Federation of Republican Women’s convention this month in Palm Springs, CA, a room in the Wyndham Palm Springs Hotel adjacent to the convention center will set you back $163 per night.
If you attend the State Policy Network conference in Portland, Maine, the week of CLC, you can’t even get into the host hotel. But the Holiday Inn Express across the street will cost you $169 per night.
If you attend the Republican Western States Leadership Conference at the Marriott in San Diego this month, the discounted room rate is $210 per night.
And if you attend CPAC - the grand-daddy of all conservative conferences - next February in Washington, DC, you’ll plunk down $219 per night at the Omni Shoreham, plus another $28 per night for a warm parking space for your car.
So how much will the Nugget Resort cost you at CLC?
As long as you make your reservation before our block of discounted rooms is gone, and give the hotel the discount code of “GCLC,” you’ll pay just $89 per night...and parking is FREE!
That means you can stay at the Nugget for all THREE nights at CLC for about the same price you’ll pay to stay at the Omni Shoreham for ONE NIGHT at CPAC. Talk about a bargain!

And finally...as you probably know, the nation’s capital all but shuts down in August while Congress is, mercifully, on Summer Vacation. So a lot of folks back there didn’t know about our "Dog Days of Summer" FREE UPGRADE special offer until after the Labor Day weekend.
So we’ve extended the offer until midnight September 15th.
Anyone who pays or has paid for a $100 “Conference Only Pass” by midnight September 15, 2007, will AUTOMATICALLY be upgraded to a “Silver Pass” (value: $200) at no extra charge.
The Silver Pass includes admittance to all the training workshops on Thursday...the Thursday night Margarita Beach Party...the Exhibit Hall...the Friday night Western BBQ...all of Friday and Saturday’s daytime speakers (including the presidential candidates), panels and debates...plus the gala Saturday night Awards Dinner.
All for just…$100!
Seriously. You’d be crazy not to take advantage of this opportunity at this price...especially if you live in the Western U.S.
To get this special offer, all you need to do is register for the 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference online HERE before midnight, September 15th and purchase a $100 “Conference Only” pass.
