CA School Text Overloads Pro-Islam
November 10, 2007 12:00 PM EST

Why are three chapters given to enhance Islam while Jesus is mentioned only twice and one paragraph prints data of other world religions?

Is Islam a favorite of the textbook publisher as well as the Lodi, CA school officials?

Is this another in-your-face anti-Christian CA move?

How can the Judeo-Christian heritage in America be so disdained as to overload an American text in favor of Islamic coverage?

No wonder parents in Lodi are protesting against this history book “they say pays a disproportionate amount of attention to the teachings of Islam,” per AP.

Jim and Korina Self, parents, are gathering signatures protesting this publication used in public schools. They won’t give up the fight for right when meeting with the school board sanctioning this bias in favor of Islam and disfavor against Christianity.

"’History Alive!: The Medieval World and Beyond’ also drew protests in an Arizona school district. It was withdrawn by the publisher before the end of a trial period there.

“Lodi school officials and the publisher say the text was approved by the California State Board of Education.”

CA parents, learn from Arizona protesters and oust the text immediately.
