An Open Letter to Harry Reid
November 16, 2007 01:00 PM EST

The Honorable(?) Harry Reid,

Having read the column published by Robert Novak describing the defeat of a scandalous attempt to sneak a veterans' funding bill through laden with pork and earmarks, you are not in a good position to complain about the Treasury being depleted. If it is, look where the money is going and who is spending it.

Democrats are notorious deficit spenders and quite frankly, sir, your scandalous and irresponsible management of taxpayer dollars should be grounds for impeachment.

As quoted from Mr. Novak's column:

"Consequently, the Senate last Tuesday again had to pass the bloated Labor-HHS bill. It did, but by a 56 to 37 margin, short of a veto-proof majority, as 19 Republican senators changed their affirmative vote from the last time they considered this bill. In an extraordinary outburst against the 19 switchers, Majority Leader Reid called them "sheep and chickens" who had "chosen to defend a failed president." In truth, he had just lost an audacious ploy."

Audacious, yes; arrogant and criminal, yes. I am thankful for the checks and balances put in place by our nation's founding fathers, to prevent any one group from dominating the affairs of our government.

"Sheep and chickens" you say? I applaud them for having the courage to stand up, not only for their convictions. but for what's good for America.

Here is another of your quotes:

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said the only way to get troops the money was to approve the restrictions outlined by Democrats.

"Our troops continue to fight and die valiantly. And our Treasury continues to be depleted rapidly, for a peace that we seem far more interested in achieving than Iraq's own political leaders," Reid said.""

Let it be known that the American people are watching. With over a hundred thousand of our sons and daughters in Iraq at the moment, if they are not properly funded and equipped, with or without your partisan conditions, there are a lot of votes will be lost to Democrats in next year's elections and I will personally spearhead a campaign to unseat as many congressional Democrats as possible. Our sons and daughters on the battle field deserve better than being used as pawns in satisfying your own petty partisan preferences. Think about it, Mr. Reid. Your political future could be hanging in the balance. An Oklahoma voter
