Sayyid Qutb was the ideological inspiration of well-known radical Islamist terrorist such as Osama Bin-ladin and Ayman Al-Zawahiri. He was a reasonable guy before his visit to America. Then he hated the materialism and modernity in American society. When he came back to Egypt, he became a radical Islamist and joined the Muslim Brotherhood and along with the rest of the organization, committed terrorist attacks on Egypt. In 1966, he was executed by the Egyptian government, which was run back then by Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Well, we have liberals who also hate the modernity. Many disguised their anti-Capitalist and anti-modernity agenda by covering it with the global warming hoax and also dressed up for "concern" over the environment. The ones who do that are in the environmentalist movement, which got thousands of blind supports who believe whatever they say is accurate and anyone who questions them is harming the environment.
We also have the anti-globalization nuts who hate globalization and pretends to care about the third world. While they claim to be a tolerant movement for the oppressed supposedly by so-called Capitalist exploitation, much of the movement allies themselves with neo-nazi groups and is anti-Semitic. Globalization is saving the third world and pulling nations out of the third world. Nations that embrace globalization are on their way out of poverty and into prosperity while nations that don't embrace it are still in poverty even today.
Liberals look for the worst thing in our country America to bash it. You see them, like Qutb, complaining about modernization and Capitalism.
