It's hard to say why some judges think they have not only the right, but the responsibility, to make the law, and not just interpret it.I guess it makes them look enlightened and progressive and they get an ego rush off of that. They want America to go to the left and they're going to take us there, the voice of the people be damned.

So, in a blatant case of judicial activism, the California Supreme Court said, by a 4-3 vote, that California's defense of marriage act, is really in fact a command that gays be allowed to marry. Leftists must attack, mock, deride, and destroy traditional culture and morality in order to shove their leftist utopian visions down the throats of the people.

They attack fathers in an attempt to make them irrelevant, nothing more than absentee genetic donors. They attack traditional marriage and promote divorce, to break up the family. They promote gay marriage to denigrate traditional monogomous marriage. All of this so that they can, in effect, replace the family with the state.

This is just another salvo fired by the left. Beliefs in traditional morals are deemed by these empty headed goofs not only as silly, but dangerous. They also know that the more people believe in traditional morality the less likely they are to embrace their vision.

They can't win democratically, and in truth don't care that much for democracy, so they get the judges to issue their edicts and we're expected to click our heels, salute and fall in line. Fat chance of that. Fortunately, in California, it is easy to get an initiative on the ballot. Conservatives in California will be successful and will most likely be able to ban gay marriage in California with a constitutional amendment.

But this is only a short term solution, a rear guard action. Unless the federal constitution itself is amended we will one dayface the proclomation from a leftist supreme court that gay marriage is legal, dealing a fatal wound to traditional beliefs. Conservatives must cut them off at the pass and fight for what we believe in.

Only by launching a counter offensive of our own, and demanding a constitutional amendment to end this judicial nonsense once and for all, does America have a chance to avoid the destination the left has planned for us.
