General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Brig. Gen. David J. Scott for appointment to the grade of major general. Scott is currently serving as deputy commander, Combined Air Operations Center 7, Component Command-Air Izmir, Allied Command Operations (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), Larissa, Greece.
