Sen. Alexander and Rep. Putnam to Call on Democratic Leaders to Stop Protecting their Party's Presidential Candidate From Gas Prices Issue and Allow Debate on Energy Bill

WASHINGTON – Senate Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. and House Republican Conference Chairman Adam Putnam, R-Fla., will hold a press conference today, Tuesday, July 29, to call for energy legislation that addresses high gas prices. They will also discuss Senator Barack Obama's meeting with the House Democratic Caucus today.
