Whether you like him or not – Bayou Brat James Carville, notable Democratic Party strategist and Bill Clinton advisor, was appropriately credited for his pivotal role in helping to put the former adulterer-in-chief in the oval office back in 1992. ( Read Article )

The Republican gubernatorial primary in Illinois has reached the boiling point, and the purported front runner, liberal Judy Baar Topinka, is apparently quite worried that opponent Jim Oberweis is poised to overtake her delicate lead just as she reaches the finish line. In Dupage County, and throughout Illinois, Oberweis yard signs, 4X4's and 4X8's have mysteriously gone missing, and in their place Topinka signs have miraculously appeared. ( Read Article )

The Republican Party has become deeply divided. In recent years, the conservative pro-life/pro-family base of the GOP has not only had to stand its ground against the Democratic Party, but now finds itself constantly having to fight off liberal, pro-abortion/anti-family interlopers within the Republican Party. We’re all familiar with the classical Biblical account of how Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt to wander in the wilderness for forty years on a very roundabout journey to the Promised Land. Understandably, there was much frustration and discontent on the part of God’s chosen people as the prize remained just out of reach. ( Read Article )

Remember September 11, 2001? I do. Many seem to have forgotten.

We live in a post 9/11 world so let’s be direct. The grave reality is that right now thousands of radical Islamic terrorists fully intend, and are very specifically preparing to kill you, your spouse, your children, and everyone that you know and love. ( Read Article )

Even today obstinate, lumbering, big-media dinosaurs inhabit and roam the vast terrain of Paleolithic journalism. Theirs is a rapidly dying breed, having succumbed to stubbornly self-inflicted wounds of poorly camouflaged liberal bias – all this, lending credence within conservative circles to the popular “pea-brain” hypothesis. As a little girl in segregated Birmingham Alabama, Condoleezza Rice, like so many other black Americans, often experienced systematic racism rooted in old-fashioned hatred. On a balmy September morning in 1963 that hatred manifest to sight, the vile portrait of pure evil. A group of radical white supremacists bombed a Birmingham church in a black neighborhood killing four little girls. One of those little girls, Denise McNair, was a friend to Condoleezza Rice. The media latched on to the story like a pit-bull to a poodle – It’s been a perfect obsession. Coverage of the case has saturated the airwaves for over two years, with the Fox News Channel taking the lead…OK Greta, on the record – we get it – enough already!

As nearly everyone on the planet knows by now, former Modesto, California fertilizer salesman Scott Peterson was recently convicted of double murder for killing his 27-year-old wife Laci, and the couple’s unborn son Conner. It seems the jury concluded that Mark Geragos, Peterson’s illustrious, high-dollar defense attorney, was trying to sell them his own smooth line of fertilizer; but they weren’t buying – They recommended Peterson be put to death.( Read Article )

You were hard-pressed to find the story or to see the images anywhere in the mainstream media – three unarmed Iraqi election officials recently murdered in cold blood on their way to work – dragged from their car and shot in the head, execution style, by spineless terrorists – the entire massacre caught on film. Their crime? – Helping to further the cause of a free and democratic Iraq. ( Read Article )

We were in elementary school - morning recess by the jungle gym. My buddy Kyle presided over the ceremony. I was the groom and Karen Smith was the blushing bride. The mock wedding lasted about three minutes. The mock marriage lasted about half-a-day. Oh, I was faithful...until Christina McCarroll caught my wandering eye during Math class. Of course we weren't really married - we were fourth graders - but we sure had fun pretending. ( Read Article )

One would expect that in light of their recent Election Day trouncing, Democrat lefties – secular humanists – disgruntled advocates of Christian abolition, might at least extend a feigned olive branch of understanding to those fanatical, pious, “born-again” Red-Stater types who were in great part, responsible for the Democratic Party’s “inexplicable” and “unjust” defeat. One would be wrong.

In his 1789 Thanksgiving Day Proclamation, George Washington declared, in part:

“Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me ‘to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:’ ( Read Article )

From her humble beginnings in the Deep South, to one of the President’s most trusted confidants, Dr. Rice has overwhelmingly surpassed external expectations and diligently achieved internal aspirations to become the most powerful black woman in United States history. If her nomination survives Senate confirmation, which is fully expected, she will hold our Nation’s highest Cabinet level position: Secretary of State. ( Read Article )

Editor’s Note: Maureen Down is a New York Times columnist who is anti-Bush and anti-conservative.

Dearest Elite and Most Enlightened Maureen:

Ours is a Nation wherein we are the drooling, Neanderthal, war-mongering Red-Staters. You are the freethinking, lucid, peace-loving Blue-Staters. We are the toothless, barefoot, OshKosh B’Gosh Conservatives. You are the handsome, well-cultured, stylish Liberals. We are the hate-filled, dogmatic, fanatical Christians. You are the tolerant, agnostic, atheist, new age, pantheist, moral relativist…whatever…(man that’s a mouth full! Pick one will ya!?). These are the “truths” you hold to be self-evident – that not all American’s are created equal. ( Read Article )

Remember the legendary “Dukakis in the Tank” Ad run by Republicans during the 1988 Presidential election campaign. It was priceless – the hapless Dukakis, pathetically poking his head through the top of a tank as he rode around with a goofy grin on his face; the helmet he wore…three sizes too big. At the time, Dukakis, the hopelessly liberal Senator from Massachusetts, was considered weak on defense and desperately needed to reverse that perception in the eyes of the American public…Sound familiar?

Recently, in an effort to prove to America that he is all things “Alpha Male” – hear him roar! John Kerry went-a-goose-huntin. The clearly contrived photo-op was sidesplitting. Kerry, decked out in a stiff, brand-new camouflage get-up, emerged from the woods at daybreak with shotgun in hand. Some poor dope (apparently one of John and Teresa’s hired servants…come along James…) was carrying the Senator’s limp and lifeless goose. Chin high, shoulders back, face stern and with a steely-eyed Clint Eastwood-esk gaze, Kerry looked to the eager media as if to say – “See…I’m a tough guy! Anything Bush can do I can do better! And I didn’t even mess up my manicure.”

She’s no Howard Stern, but at times, Teresa Heinz-Kerry sounds more like a drunken sailor than a First Lady. When it comes to quotables, she’s come up with some doozies; some of which might even cause our colorfully tongued Vice President to blush. She told a reporter to “shove it,” once called Ted Kennedy a “perfect bastard,” has said that “only an idiot” would fail to support her husband’s healthcare plan, and has called herself “cheeky” and “sexy.” It seems that where the Heinz Corporation continues to outsource jobs, Heinz-Kerry outsources class. In a move that comes as little surprise, The Heinz Co. has publicly distanced itself from the Kerry camp, and more specifically, from Kerry’s outspoken and oft abrasive would-be First Lady. He may wear a pretty, skintight Body Glove, Gucci Turtleneck, listen to Barbara Streisand, and have an artificial bronze hue; but don’t kid yourself, he don’t swing that way. He’s plenty tough enough! By day he’s the windsurfing, flip-flopping, French looking Liberal Senator from Massachusetts; but by night, John Kerry is… “Metro-Sexual Man.” With his trusty sidekick Silky Boy, it’s off to the Femmobile to save America from his arch nemesis “W” and his partner in crime “The VP.”( Read Article )

Conventional wisdom suggests that Thursday’s Presidential debate was a close one with Kerry perhaps having a slight edge. Many feel that Kerry prevailed on style and presentation, while Bush came out ahead on substance. But did Kerry do enough to stop the clear momentum enjoyed by the Bush campaign going into the debate?

Again, leading up to Thursday night’s contest, conventional wisdom held that Kerry had to hit a homerun in order to halt the Bush momentum. It appears that, at best, Kerry was able to deliver little more than a bunt, and barley made it to first base. Kerry had to convince voters that Bush had to go, and that he was a viable alternative in the War on Terror. ( Read Article )
