While I have listened to both sides of this immigration issue, I am convinced our country is being torn apart. I’ve seen enough anger expressed to start a civil war. I am more adamant than ever, as I look at the picture before us, and it’s not a pretty sight, that there’s big trouble ahead. Monday, April 17, 2006 09:27:32 PM
The big ship called the US of A is filling up fast, and if we’re not careful, we’re going to all go down with this giant. It’s easy to point a finger at George Bush, he’s the guy we keep whipping, and we seem to enjoy it. Tuesday, March 07, 2006 11:55:46 AM
Why don’t we just line folks up and shoot them? It would probably be more humane than the way we “kill and bury” in today’s society. Our freedom of speech has allowed us to be bona fide assassins of a person’s character, reputation and career. Sunday, January 29, 2006 07:36:12 PM
I was in Nashville, Tennessee at the Grand Ole Opry a few months ago and as a great fan of country music, I got caught up in some of those old “Opry” songs that took me back a few (clearing my throat) years. Well, maybe more than a few. Ha! But I’ll never tell (big chuckle). Sunday, January 15, 2006 07:18:48 PM
Oh, the words we hear dead men say! When I heard there would be a protest on MLK Day in San Antonio, Texas, where the largest parade in the nation is held for this heralded man, I questioned why. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 01:11:13 PM
I’m on a “Merry Christmas” mission and I’m in full throttle. My little yellow VW Beetle has turned into a Christmas billboard with Merry Christmas written across the back window. Yes, I’ve decided to trek off to work everyday on the public highways with a message that seems to offend people. Sunday, September 04, 2005 03:15:06 AM
While I write these following words with a broken heart and a great deal of prejudice, please bear with me . . . I am a Louisianian. I've spent the past few days agonizing over the state of my beloved state. One may move away, but the heart always leads you back home. My home is Louisiana. Monday, August 15, 2005 10:02:19 AM
Whew! That's good to hear, I thought it was George Bush's job she wanted. I got an e-mail early Saturday morning about a "Support Our Troops" rally in Crawford, Texas, so I grabbed a friend, packed up my VW Beetle and headed to God's country, I mean George Bush's ranch. Well, well, well! While the United States is engaged in combat against terrorists in Iraq, our ubiquitous Hanoi Jane cant seem to get a handle on attaining maximum attention from her most recent book tour promoting herself. Monday, July 04, 2005 02:43:00 PM
Theres a place so deep in my heart that sometimes its too painful to go there on my own, but a moment of nostalgia, either by looking at old pictures, or listening to old tunes will whisk me away before I have the strength to resist such a journey. Wednesday, June 15, 2005 04:14:00 PM
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. John Stuart Mill, a British Philosopher Yes, even in the midst of death and destruction, we should have had more sense than to think we could go after terrorists and win a victory. I laughed so hard, I couldnt stand it. Thats the exact term used when a smart Senator prepares himself for an extended filibuster Taking to the Diaper. Whah, whah, whah . . . thats all weve heard, and now I know why. Diapers and babies go together - how appropriate for this group of screaming liberals. So please, lets give them what they want and be done with this mess. Monday, May 16, 2005 05:11:00 AM
Get your guns, load the cannons, we cannot stand by any longer and let our soldiers give their lives for freedom and democracy when were exercising neither here in The United States of America. We can fight and win wars on many fronts, but if we cant take care of business here at home, none of the others even count. Friday, April 29, 2005 06:51:00 AM
We the people, in order to form a more perfect union . . . are getting restless and feel we are fighting an insurgency here in our own United States. Saturday, April 09, 2005 12:44:00 PM
Wake up America . . . the alarm clock just went off and we keep turning over and going back to sleep. Theres an uprisin on the horizon and we refuse to face it. Sleeping through it might make it easier, but the end result will be devastating. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 05:48:12 PM
Oh, that we could all die of starvation! Ive listened to Michael Schiavo explain - for the 100th time - how peaceful and painless the dying process is through starving. It would make one wish we could all die that way. Scars are cutting deep into the fiber of our hearts as we are forced to accept the mantra, This is what Terri wants. Im sorry, but Im not buying any of it. |
